A platform for the discovery, analysis, and design of software delivery systems
Try It OutSoftware delivery simulation facilitates great ideation, clear stakeholder communications, and data-driven continuous improvement
Build more great stuff
Design great paths to production
Enable great teams
Investigate the current software delivery system, the next iteration of the system, and the ideal system
Generate insights at multiple levels by modeling software delivery execution, control, and planning
Alleviate document overload by capturing knowledge in models
A process cannot be understood by stopping it. Understanding must move with the flow of the process, must join it and flow with it.
Get Free Simulator AccessOur blog addresses topics in sociotechnical systems modeling and simulation
Yes. Navigate to the Simulator page, request an access link, and use the access link to get started. Please contact us if this process takes more than 2 minutes.
We have open sourced the underlying simulation library. However, the Software Delivery Simulator combines this simulation library with a proprietary diagram library, so can’t be open sourced (at this time).
No. The modeling and simulation is done in a code-free user interface. Business process modeling knowledge can be helpful, but is not necessary.
Yes and no. If you have a deep knowledge of simulation engineering, then the Software Delivery Simulator can be viewed as having the following benefits and drawbacks.
Software Delivery Simulator Benefits:
Software Delivery Simulator Drawbacks:
The application itself can present well in screenshares and presentations, but you can also generate image files. We may add additional export formats in the future.
Please detail your request in an email, and send it to community@nodematic.com.
No. Not at this time.
No. The simulator uses common, open formats for import and export. However, automation and integration with external tools is not directly supported.
Discrete event. This formalism can encapsulate discrete time and continuous time (with numerical methods) formalisms. If you have never heard of these before, that is not a problem. Using the simulator does not require working knowledge of these formalisms.
